Cubs is our second section for those aged between 8 and 10½.
During their time in the Pack, Cub Scouts will get a chance to try a wide range of different activities as well as going on trips, days out, and on camps.
They meet every week during term time, except the first week back after a holiday, at the Church Hall in the centre of the village.
Within the Cub Pack the Cubs are arranged into Sixes giving them opportunities to work together as a team for their Teamwork challenge award.
Each Six is headed up by an older Cub called a Sixer, and often with a Seconder as well.
During their first few weeks new Cubs will learn about being a Cub and work towards their Membership award.
When they are ready they will make their Cub Scout Promise and become a member of the Pack.
When Cubs approach 10½ they can, if they wish, start the process of moving on to Scouts.
This involves them attending both Cubs and Scouts for a few weeks where they find out more about Scouts before they officially move up to the Scouts section.
Currently we have no waiting list to join the Pack.
Should spaces become limited, priority will be given to Beavers moving up from our Beaver Colony.
